A space suit can be 310*F on the side facing the sun and -290*F on the opposite side. But a multilayer flexible reflective radiant barrier laminated into the fabric allows the space suit to reflect the searing heat of the sun and retain the body’s warmth on the dark side.
Your home is like a space suit. It should keep heat in when the weather is cold; and keep it out when the weather is hot. The same radiant barrier technology used in space can produce dramatic results in your attic…and bring your heating and cooling bills down to earth!
Able to stop more than 97-percent of radiant heat, eShield™ multilayer reflective foil insulation is an exceptionally efficient and innovative solution to thermal insulation needs. Most types of insulation protect against conduction and convection, measured by R-values. However, they fall short of eShield™ when it comes to E-value, which measures radiant heat transfer, the main source of lost heat in homes. By coupling eShield™ with existing home insulation, you can create a complete solution to all types of heat transfer.
Start saving money TODAY!!!
42% of your home’s heat loss is through the attic and roof. Ordinary insulation doesn’t protect your home from radiant heat transfer.
Rather than spend hundreds or thousands of dollars replacing or padding the fiberglass in your attic, simply install eShield™ multilayer foil insulation over top. It works perfectly in conjunction with existing insulation and is actually capable of providing more savings than adding another whole foot of fiberglass! In addition to simple home updates, eShield™ is exactly the right type of product for a greenovation, allowing you to reduce your overall spending and your impact on the environment.

Attic Insulation Isn’t Complete Without eShield™
Did you know that attics are the top culprits when it comes to heat loss in your home? Although many homes have fiberglass or another type of attic insulation, they still don’t protect you completely from the outside temperature – or from high energy bills. One cause for expensive power bills that many homeowners don’t consider is depleted R-value. As insulation ages, its ability to resist heat decreases along with its effectiveness. In addition, insulation that’s been subject to moisture or has compressed over time does not provide its labeled R-value. So, unless you’ve updated your buildings attic insulation recently, you probably don’t have as much protection as you think you do.
Another reason for energy loss through the attic is emission, or radiant heat transfer, which is essentially the transfer of heat through empty space, rather than by direct contact. If you’ve ever felt the warmth of the sun on your face, then you’ve experienced heat transfer by emission. Adding attic insulation such as fiberglass or cellulose doesn’t fully address this type of transfer because they protect mostly against convection and conduction, two other types of heat transfer.
Your roof is constantly subject to the heat of the sun during summer and the cold of the rain, snow, and winds during winter, making it very difficult to keep heat from flowing between the inside and out. After a certain point, regular insulation simply can’t absorb any more heat, rendering it basically useless. Rather than absorb the heat and hold it, eShield™ actually reflects it, helping you keep the temperature of your home independent from the outside environment. By addressing all three types of energy transfer, your attic insulation can help lower your utility bills and keep your family cozy.
